Job summary

IQUASAR LLC is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join an engineering team focused on cloud-based applications in DoD environments. You will work on Kubernetes-based infra, CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and security across AWS, with on-call rotations and remote flexibility.

The role requires hands-on Kubernetes, Terraform or Pulumi, GitLab CI, and AWS experience, plus DoD eligibility and IAT II readiness. Part-time remote engagement with security-focused responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Kubernetes deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
• IaC tools such as Terraform or Pulumi experience.
• CI/CD expertise, preferably GitLab CI.
• Linux/Unix administration and CLI proficiency.
• AWS services including EC2, EKS, IAM, S3, VPC.
• Docker image builds and registries.
• YAML for Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts, and pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and remote work ability.
• Eligible for DoD access; DoD 8570 IAT II certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve Kubernetes-based cloud infrastructure and automated deployment environments.
• Collaborate with application and platform teams to manage IaC, CI/CD pipelines, IAM, monitoring, and security.
• Troubleshoot deployment failures, broken pipelines, and infrastructure issues.
• Participate in Tier 2 on-call rotations and support platform incidents.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, ADRs, and architecture standards.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
