Job summary

ICF Olson is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support federal clients by embedding security into cloud and app delivery. You will work with senior DevOps, security, and application teams to implement CI/CD, automated testing, and compliance checks in alignment with federal standards.

The role requires US citizenship, remote work within the United States, and collaboration across East Coast hours. Candidates should have 5+ years in DevOps/cybersecurity and a background in cloud platforms and IaC.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, systems engineering, or cybersecurity.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and DevOps practices; experience with GitLab and/or Jenkins.
• Exposure to DevSecOps and security tooling like SAST/DAST and container scanning.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure; GovCloud) and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Working knowledge of Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server; scripting in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift; familiarity with Splunk for SIEM/log analysis.
• Exposure to low-code/COTS platforms (Appian, Salesforce, ServiceNow).

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, maintenance, and monitoring of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI or Jenkins) including artifact management (Nexus).
• Support automated deployment and environment promotion for apps on low-code platforms from development to production.
• Help implement automated quality gates: unit/integration tests, regression suites, code-quality checks.
• Integrate security scanning and compliance checks (SAST, DAST, dependency and container scanning).
• Support cloud infrastructure in AWS or Azure (GovCloud) with security best practices; support IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Assist monitoring/observability: log aggregation to Splunk, alerts, performance testing (JMeter); aid incident response.
• Document configurations and security controls for audits (ATO) and continuous monitoring.
• Collaborate with development/operations/security in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Learn/apply federal security frameworks (NIST 800-53, FedRAMP).
