Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Software Security Architect to join a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will shape the technical security strategy for software development, cloud environments, and production operations across the organization, partnering with engineering to embed security into the development lifecycle and strengthen architecture standards.

This remote role offers a compensation range of $135,000 – $160,000 annually and the opportunity to influence DevSecOps maturity,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in information security, software engineering, or DevSecOps with technical leadership.
• Deep expertise in secure architecture, application security, and automated testing.
• Hands-on experience with security automation and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Proven track record in establishing DevSecOps roadmaps and technical standards.
• Strong knowledge of software supply chain security and risk-based controls.
• Ability to resolve complex technical challenges and influence engineering decisions.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or GIAC; experience with AI/ML security preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the DevSecOps function by defining and executing its technical strategy and roadmap.
• Establish secure architecture and engineering standards to reduce risk.
• Embed security into software development through secure coding practices and automation.
• Engineer automated security testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Strengthen software supply chain security with controls for build pipelines and access management.
• Design and implement cloud and infrastructure security capabilities.
• Drive remediation of application and platform security risks with engineering teams.
• Integrate security into production operations with monitoring and incident response improvements.
• Measure and improve DevSecOps effectiveness through established metrics.
• Build technical capability across teams by mentoring engineers and supporting security champions.
