Job summary

HydroDrive LLC is hiring for a remote reliability-focused role in Irvine, CA. You will own the reliability and production delivery of HydroDrive's operations copilots, admin apps, and voice-attendant backend, while coordinating with SRE and software engineers to ensure data integrity and business continuity.

You will design CI/CD workflows, operate PostgreSQL at scale, and build observability with logs, metrics, and dashboards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or production engineering.
• Deep PostgreSQL experience including backups, migrations, and outages.
• Hands-on CI/CD with GitHub Actions and automated tests.
• Strong Linux, Docker, networking and TLS fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability and production delivery of HydroDrive operations copilot, fleet and calendar platform, voice-attendant backend, and supporting admin applications.
• Design and maintain CI/CD workflows that run tests and builds, validate configuration, apply database migrations safely, promote releases across environments, and support fast rollback.
• Operate PostgreSQL under serverless, scheduled-job, and high-concurrency workloads with tuned pools and indexes.
• Investigate database downtime and degraded performance, including outages, lock contention, and failed migrations.
• Build observability across app, database, AI-provider, telephony, and WebSocket paths with logs, metrics, and dashboards.
• Use AI assistants and agentic tools to investigate logs, draft automation, and maintain runbooks while protecting credentials.
• Manage deployments across Vercel, Fly.io, Docker, and managed PostgreSQL with proper runbooks and rollback plans.
• Establish secure secret-management and promote environments safely; participate in on-call incidents.
