Job summary

SOSi is seeking a part-time DevOps Engineer to support a DoD-backed program, delivering a scalable, secure data ecosystem. The role emphasizes Kubernetes, CI/CD, and IaC to enable real-time data sharing across DoD and partner environments.

The candidate will implement governance, hardening, and automation, coordinating with infrastructure and data teams to ensure compliant deployment pipelines and cost awareness across IL2 environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years equivalent experience in DevOps.
• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines across cloud and on‑prem.
• Proficient in container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) and IaC (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Strong knowledge of cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain environment-specific Kubernetes configuration packages with STIG-aligned hardening.
• Implement secrets injection strategies using FedRAMP-compliant tools for pipelines.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines for secure deployment and rollback of ArcGIS components.
• Coordinate with Kubernetes and Data Layer Engineers for version control and testing.
• Provide cloud resource usage profiles for IL2/IL4/IL5 deployments.
• Supply container/workload specs to provisioning teams for tagging and reservations.
• Implement resource tagging per cloud governance and reconcile usage.
• Support cost optimization by adjusting workloads based on metrics.
