Job summary

JTL-Software-GmbH in Germany is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own build automation, CI/CD and deployment for JTL-WaWi, our .NET desktop ERP. You will lead the migration from TeamCity to GitHub Actions, create reproducible builds and scalable test environments in Azure.

You’ll work remote-first from Germany, collaborate with development, QA and release teams, and help shape cloud adoption, security, and observability across our release processes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure provisioning and cost-aware operations.
• Several years as a DevOps or Platform Engineer, ideally in a .NET environment.
• Strong CI/CD expertise with GitHub Actions and/or TeamCity and reproducible builds.
• Automation mindset focusing on rollback and reliability.
• Secure handling of secrets and code-signing (vault/Azure Key Vault/1Password).
• Comfort with containers (Podman/Docker) and PowerShell scripting.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• You are based in Germany.

Responsibilities

• Build, run and improve CI/CD pipelines for JTL-WaWi, migrating from TeamCity to GitHub Actions.
• Provision and automate cost-aware Azure test environments for build and release testing.
• Automate build signing and secret management with vaults and Azure Key Vault.
• Make auto-update rollout reliable with staged rollouts and rollback capabilities.
• Strengthen observability and incident response around build and release.
• Collaborate with development, QA, release management and architecture.
