Job summary

Confidential Hires is seeking a fully remote DevOps Contractor for a 6-month engagement (full-time hours). This role will strengthen automation, reliability, and security of a cloud-based software environment, partnering with Engineering, QA, and IT Operations to improve the software delivery lifecycle and scalable AWS-based applications.

Qualifications

• Three to five years hands-on DevOps, cloud engineering, or related automation experience.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Hands-on AWS experience with EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch.
• Proven Terraform experience provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering, QA, and Operations to streamline delivery and collaboration.
• Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Develop automation for deployment, infrastructure management, monitoring, and operations.
• Provision and manage AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident response capabilities.
• Embed security practices into infrastructure and pipelines.
• Containerize and deploy using Docker and AWS ECS/EKS.
• Create clear technical documentation for infrastructure and deployment processes.
• Participate in production deployments and off-hours operational support.
