Job description

About Infrared

Infrared Finance is the flagship application of the upcoming Proof of Liquidity consensus mechanism pioneered by Berachain. The application reimagines liquid staking in the context of the three-token architecture and the unique soulbound elements of BGT. The protocol maximizes value for stakeholders via social aggregation of BGT through its infrastructure level PoL vaults and iBGT liquid staked derivative.

We look for a few things across all contributors we onboard at Infrared, regardless of role or team. First, we look for signals that a candidate will thrive in our fast-paced work environment, where we default to quick iterations, critical thinking, and sound judgments because we play only to succeed. Second, we seek people with the desire to share their expertise and the capacity to extend their knowledge to drive innovation. Finally, we seek candidates who can commit to a greater goal; unite as a team to reach something no one could have done on their own.

About the role:

The Infrared core team is the driving force behind expanding our reach and influence over the multi-billion dollar opportunity of proof-of-liquidity. As part of the engineering team, you will help build and maintain relationships with market-makers, DeFi protocols, service providers, and relevant infrastructure partners that will make integrations with Infrared's stack as easy as possible.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Community Engagement:
  • Foster and grow a vibrant developer community by actively participating in forums, social media, and relevant events.
  • Organize and host developer meetups, webinars, and conferences to encourage knowledge sharing and networking within the community.
  • Technical Advocacy:
  • Serve as a technical evangelist for Infrared’s products and technologies, effectively communicating the value to developers.
  • Create and deliver technical content, including blog posts, tutorials, and documentation, to help developers understand and implement the company's solutions.
  • Feedback Gathering:
  • Act as a bridge between developers and internal product teams, collecting feedback on products and services to drive continuous improvement.
  • Analyze developer feedback and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address issues, prioritize feature requests, and enhance the overall developer experience.
  • Support and Advocacy:
  • Provide responsive and helpful support to developers, assisting with problem resolution and addressing technical queries.
  • Advocate for developers internally, ensuring their needs and concerns are considered in decision-making processes related to product development and updates.
  • Relationship Building:
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key influencers, thought leaders, and community champions within the developer ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with external partners, such as third-party developers and open-source communities, to strengthen the company's position within the broader developer community.
  • Metrics and Reporting:
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of developer relations initiatives.
  • Regularly report on community growth, engagement levels, and the effectiveness of outreach efforts to leadership and relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years experience in engineering experience
  • Familiarity with Ethereum development tools (Geth, Foundry ) and security analysis tools.
  • Expertise in the Ethereum and/or Cosmos protocol, including in-depth knowledge of consensus and execution clients.
  • Graduated or actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary and equity package.
  • A pivotal role in a cutting-edge project within the DeFi space.
  • A collaborative, and security-focused work environment.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and leadership in blockchain security.
  • Flexible working arrangements.
Application Process:

Interested candidates should submit a resume, cover letter, and any relevant work samples or GitHub links showcasing their expertise. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.
