Job summary

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist II to review, research, and resolve insurance denials and appeals, maximizing collections. Proficiency with EPIC Resolute is preferred, with experience in NCCI edits, LCD/NDC, and EOB interpretation.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical claims recovery and/or collections.
• Ability to review denials and appeals and to communicate with payers.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid rules and contract interpretations.

Responsibilities

• Contact payers to obtain reimbursement and follow up on denials.
• Interpret contracts and rules to maximize proper reimbursement.
• Lead team workflows, train new staff and support process improvements.
• Resolve escalated accounts and monitor aging and productivity.
• Mentor teammates on Epic processes and payer requirements.
• Support quality assurance and operational follow-ups.
