Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Data Analyst to transform complex data into actionable insights for defense acquisition. You will support a client-facing contracting finance team, delivering data-driven recommendations to improve funding processes and program outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years with BI tools (Power BI/Tableau), SQL/Python for data manipulation, and experience with Databricks or Spark, plus DoD funding and program management exposure.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as SQL and Python, for data manipulation and analysis.
• 1+ years of experience with data engineering in Databricks or Spark.
• Experience with acquisition, program management, and financial analysis including task planning, allocations, or funding execution with DoD clients such as NAVSEA or NAVWAR.
• Experience using Microsoft Office 365 Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
• Knowledge of Navy systems such as COBRA, ERP, EDW, NEPS, or EVMCR.
• Strong attention to detail and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall acquisition and programmatic expertise and support.
• Support annual task planning and allocation reviews.
• Provide in-depth financial requirements analysis, draft allocations, performer management, task prioritization, funding impacts, and briefing materials.
• Develop funding trackers and analyze execution, expenditures, and expiring funds.
• Review performer spend plans and coordinate with performers on funding status.
• Assist with funding execution and data calls, such as reviews and deep dives.
• Establish plans for contract actions associated with funding changes.
• Track contract obligation status, funding profiles, and funding requirements.
• Perform critical thinking to align procurement profiles with funding plans.
• Contribute to analysis and management of meeting actions, emails, and telecoms.
• Provide meeting support including agenda, coordination, and tracking actions.
• Develop planning models to analyze program health, schedule impacts, and options.
