Job description

Job Title: DE Underwriter (203K Experience Required)
Location: Remote (Must reside in any U.S. state except California)
Schedule: Full-Time | Eastern Standard Time (EST) Hours Required

Overview:
We’re partnering with a reputable lender looking to add an experienced DE Underwriter to their team. This is a fully remote role, but candidates must be located outside of California and available to work standard Eastern Time business hours.

Key Requirements (Must-Have):

  • Must have actively underwritten and signed off FHA loans using a DE CHUMS ID within the last 11 months

  • Active DE CHUMS ID

  • Demonstrated experience with 203K renovation loans (required)

  • Must reside in a U.S. state other than California (client is not registered to employ in California)

  • Availability to work a full-time Eastern Standard Time (EST) schedule

Responsibilities:

  • Review and underwrite FHA and renovation loan files in accordance with agency, investor, and company guidelines

  • Analyze credit, income, assets, and collateral documentation for accuracy and risk

  • Review and clear conditions; issue final approvals using DE credentials

  • Ensure all decisions meet compliance, quality, and production standards

  • Communicate with internal teams to resolve issues and support a smooth closing process

  • Stay current on all HUD/FHA guideline updates, including 203K regulations
