Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a DB2 System Administrator for a fully remote role based in the United States. The role focuses on maintaining DB2 environments on IBM mainframe z/OS, applying patches, upgrades, and migrations while ensuring security and compliance with STIG/SRG requirements.

You will combine hands-on DB2 administration with software installation, configuration, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance, providing technical support across mission-critical mainframe environments.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of DB2, mainframe, or related experience.
• Associate degree in STEM required.
• Hands-on DB2 on IBM z/OS; patches, upgrades, migrations.
• SMP/E expertise for installation and maintenance.
• Security/compliance knowledge including STIG/SRG frameworks.
• Active Secret clearance and IAT Level I certification.
• Strong documentation and change-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain DB2 software and environments on IBM z/OS mainframe platforms in compliance with STIG/SRG requirements.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain DB2 software; perform migrations.
• Provide technical services and guidance on DB2; respond to questions and issues.
• Plan and execute database migrations and application upgrades.
• Maintain accurate tickets, change requests, and technical records.
