Job summary

Primoris Services Corp is seeking a Databricks Senior Architect to lead the architecture and delivery of a Databricks Lakehouse across data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML workloads. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor and delivery owner, guiding use cases from discovery to production.

The role emphasizes architecture, design, and leadership, with hands-on work as needed, and requires 8+ years in data/AI, 4+ years in technical delivery, and deep Databricks experience on Azure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on Data, Analytics, or AI experience, with 4+ years in technical delivery/tech leadership.
• Proven experience architecting and implementing Databricks solutions using Medallion architecture (ingestion, transformation, serving) incl. AI/ML workloads.
• Hands-on Databricks on Azure, including Azure security, networking, identity, and storage concepts.
• Experience with Python (PySpark) and SQL; ability to optimize large-scale data processing.
• Expertise designing/implementing Auto Loader, Delta Live Tables (DLT), and streaming solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end architecture for Databricks Lakehouse and Medallion patterns.
• Design scalable, secure Databricks patterns for batch, streaming, ML/GenAI workloads.
• Architect solutions using Medallion, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake for analytics and ops use cases.
• Lead delivery across hybrid teams; provide technical leadership and governance (CI/CD, testing, observability).
• Establish engineering standards and review workflows, jobs, and pipelines for robustness and SLA adherence.
• Mentor engineers and develop reusable assets (templates, runbooks) to accelerate adoption.
