Job summary

The Data Science Specialist II at Zillow applies advanced analytical methods and ML to solve business problems and deliver scalable data products. You will lead end-to-end analytics, design experiments, evaluate models, and contribute to data quality and governance while working remotely within the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience applying data science, analytics, or machine learning in a professional setting.
• Experience designing end-to-end analytics or ML solutions from data prep to deployment.
• Experience with large datasets and modern data ecosystems (distributed processing, cloud platforms) to develop insights.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners to understand requirements and deliver measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of end-to-end analytical and ML solutions addressing business problems.
• Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to frame questions, define success metrics, and translate requirements into approaches.
• Build, validate, and maintain scalable data pipelines, features, and models for production use.
• Analyze large datasets to uncover trends and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Apply experimentation practices (A/B testing, backtesting, error analysis) to measure impact and guide iteration.
• Contribute to data quality, model governance, and responsible use of data and AI within Zillow.
