Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Data Scientist to lead price-forecasting and optimization initiatives, driving profitability and improved customer experience. You will help build analytics infrastructure and identify opportunities to leverage data science as a competitive advantage.

You will apply advanced analytics methods, present insights to non-technical audiences, and collaborate with partners across the business to ensure impact and scalability of solutions.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• 3+ years of experience in business intelligence and analytics.
• PhD in a quantitative field preferred (Computer Science, Math, Statistics, etc).
• Past experience developing forecasting solutions and Deep Learning solutions in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop algorithms and models to use against large datasets to create business insights.
• Communicate insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical leaders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine project goals.
• Seek further knowledge on data science developments and build reusable algorithms.
