Job summary

Home Depot is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to guide data science initiatives that improve profitability, efficiency, and customer experience. You will help develop the advanced analytics infrastructure and apply prescriptive and predictive modeling to business decisions.

You'll lead cross-functional teams across analytics, IT, and business units, mentoring junior staff and driving scalable data solutions using Python, SQL, and modern BI tools.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Demonstrated expertise in Advanced analytic modeling, statistics or BI preferably in retail
• Master's degree in a quantitative field (or equivalent work experience)
• 3+ years of experience in data science or related analytics field (implied by senior role)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement algorithms and models to extract business insights from large datasets.
• Lead and manage large, complex projects and teams; mentor junior staff and support hiring.
• Collaborate with internal customers and IT to deliver analytics solutions and drive adoption.
• Develop reusable data science libraries and ensure productionalization of models and workflows.
