Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks a motivated Data Scientist to support Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) with data-driven insights and analytic solutions to identify, assess, and mitigate risks in complex supply chains. The role requires DoW Secret clearance and US citizenship.

Remote work is available as part of a dynamic SIB Data Team supporting program management and third-party tool integration. You will collaborate with government stakeholders and senior leadership to deliver mission-critical outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a DoW Secret security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• 2 years of hands-on experience in data science, analytics, or applied machine learning.
• Strong proficiency in Python and core data science libraries.
• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) for querying and analysis.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data science solutions to analyze large and complex datasets related to supply chain networks.
• Design, develop and implement valuable business solutions for the organization.
• Apply statistics, AI, ML, and predictive modeling to identify patterns, anomalies, and risks.
• Write clean, efficient Python code using data science libraries.
• Query, manipulate, and analyze structured and unstructured data from databases.
• Support data ingestion, processing, and visualization workflows for government stakeholders.
• Prepare big data, implement data models and databases for business solutions.
• Present findings through reports, dashboards, and briefings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, front-end developers, and SMEs to deliver solutions.
• Interpret results from multiple sources using various techniques, from simple to complex data mining.
• Work with the SIB team across the United States on workforce development, marketing, supply chain, and tech.
• Occasionally direct in several aspects of the work.
• Interact with industry and senior leadership.
