You will collaborate with cross-functional partners, develop internal white papers, and contribute to Airbnb tech blog posts while advancing measurement science.

Qualifications

• PhD in Economics, Statistics, Marketing, or related field or a Masters with 2+ years experience.
• In-depth knowledge of causal inference methods and experimentation techniques.
• Proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and agentic coding.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to stakeholders at varying technical levels.
• Proven track record of solving business problems through data science methods.

Responsibilities

• Causal Inference: Apply and develop causal inference methods to estimate effectiveness of Airbnb’s marketing initiatives.
• Data Analysis: Pull data, analyze trends, and create features to support measurement efforts.
• Experimentation: Design and analyze experiments to evaluate marketing campaigns.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to provide insights that optimize marketing strategies.
• Thought Leadership: Lead internal white papers and contribute to Airbnb tech blog posts.
