Job summary

ACT Education Corp. is seeking a Data Scientist II to design, test, and validate data models powering personalized college and career recommendations.

This remote role collaborates with product, engineering, research, design, and business partners to turn data into explainable insights for students and families. The position is fixed-term for six months, with a salary range of $95,000 to $105,000 and eligibility for internal equity adjustments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of applied data science experience.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with experience building scalable data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and evaluate models that generate personalized recommendations.
• Apply statistical modeling, ML, and generative AI to improve product capabilities.
• Partner with engineers to deploy data pipelines and move models to production.
• Ensure model fairness, bias mitigation, and responsible AI considerations.
