Banner Health is seeking a Data Scientist I to provide data and analytic support across a key subject area. You will work with large databases, apply advanced analytical methods, and deliver data-driven recommendations to improve outcomes and profitability.

This fully remote role follows a 8am–5pm schedule Mon–Fri, with eligibility restricted to residents of Arizona. The position emphasizes cross-functional collaboration and thorough data quality control.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Health Services Research or related field.
• 3–4 years hands-on experience with inferential statistics, A/B testing, ML and predictive modeling in healthcare.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration, leadership potential, and independent project management.
• Solid SQL, SAS and Tableau skills with ability to communicate results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide data and analytic support using large databases and quantitative methods.
• Perform substantive analyses to deliver data-driven recommendations for outcomes and profitability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across teams to improve business results.
• Troubleshoot data issues at a complex level and escalate when needed.
