Job summary

Wave is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our fully remote team, tackling credit scoring, fraud detection, and operations optimization across our markets. You’ll partner with product managers to translate data into practical, measurable improvements that help millions of users.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data science, strong Python/SQL skills, ML and A/B testing experience, and excellent communication. English fluency is required; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field required or equivalent
• 5+ years of data science, ML or technical analytics experience
• Fluency in English; French is a plus

Responsibilities

• Generate insights using customer, merchant and internal data with statistical modeling and machine learning
• Design, implement and analyze optimizations for internal operations and user promos
• Build data-driven heuristics to improve user and business outcomes
• Take ownership of the analytics process from scoping to communicating findings
