Job summary

GitLab is seeking a Data Scientist on the Enterprise Analytics team to partner with Sales, Revenue Operations, and Finance. You will apply statistical, experimentation, and ML methods to forecast outcomes and size opportunities across activation, conversion, expansion, and retention.

You will write production-grade Python and SQL, build ML models (propensity, PQL scoring, churn), run growth experiments, and help deliver company-wide reporting and GTM performance views used by executives.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in GTM analytics or similar technical role.
• Able to translate business problems into measurable questions.
• Experience with experimentation and causal inference.

Responsibilities

• Partner with GTM teams to inform insight generation and decisions.
• Perform exploratory analysis to uncover drivers of performance.
• Build and productionize ML models with MLOps practices.
• Design growth experiments and measure activation, conversion, retention.
• Develop agentic workflows for analysis and automation.
• Contribute to semantic layer for self-serve metrics.
• Write production-grade Python and SQL for a high-scale environment.
