Placements24 is partnering with a pioneering energy company to hire a remote Data Scientist. You will develop predictive models, clean and analyze large energy datasets, and visualize insights for stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist with a proven track record in developing and deploying machine learning models.
• Proficiency in Python or R and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn.
• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience in the energy sector or energy-related datasets is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and independence in remote settings.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms to analyze energy-related data.
• Extract, clean, and transform large, complex datasets from various sources, ensuring data quality.
• Develop data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with domain experts to translate business needs into data science solutions.
• Identify patterns in energy consumption, production efficiency, and market dynamics to provide actionable recommendations.
• Conduct A/B testing and experiments to evaluate interventions.
• Stay current with advances in data science, ML, and AI within energy domain.
• Document methodologies, code, and results for reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
