Job summary

Appriss Retail is seeking a Data Science Manager to lead a small, high-output team while remaining hands-on, owning data science from data engineering to production model delivery, including LLM-based features and agentic workflows.

You will directly manage 2–4 data scientists, shape the tech direction, review pipelines, define data contracts, and partner with product and engineering to anchor data work in real product context.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data science, data engineering, or related field.
• 1+ year of direct people management or technical lead experience.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of high-impact data science projects.
• Design data pipelines, data models, and governance with your team.
• Build and productionize ML models; lead experimentation and monitoring.
• Architect LLM-integrated features and agentic workflows.
• Guide cloud data platform architecture with cost and performance in mind.
• Ensure code quality with production-grade Python/SQL and CI/CD.
