Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Data Infrastructure Engineer Intern to join a fast-paced, growth-focused team. You will help maintain data warehouses, monitor pipelines, and optimize SQL queries while learning modern data tooling and AI-assisted workflows.

Ideal candidates are pursuing or have completed CS/Data Eng degrees, with Python/Go experience and a strong interest in distributed systems. Remote, full-time with learning opportunities and career growth.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed degree in CS/Data Eng or related field.
• Basic understanding of relational databases and NoSQL concepts.
• Familiarity with Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Interest in data infrastructure, distributed systems or backend engineering.
• Willingness to learn and work in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and improving data warehousing systems (AWS DMS, Redshift).
• Monitor data pipelines, identify issues, and troubleshoot basic problems.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for analytics and data validation.
• Collaborate with engineers and analysts to understand data needs and use cases.
• Participate in testing, documentation, and improving reliability of data systems.
• Identify and automate repetitive daily manual processes to improve efficiency.
• Learn and explore new tools and technologies in the data ecosystem.
