Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure - AI Platform in the United States. This hands-on role builds and operates critical data infrastructure within a highly regulated government cloud environment, focusing on fast, reliable data access for investigations.

You’ll own production reliability, work with Data Platform and Forward Deployed Engineering teams, and apply AI tools to accelerate debugging, code reviews, and development while maintaining

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required due to government cloud data access.
• Hands-on experience operating distributed OLAP or serving-layer systems such as StarRocks, Trino, or ClickHouse.
• Strong experience with query tuning, database performance optimization, and distributed systems at scale.
• Experience owning data pipeline reliability, production operations, and incident response.
• Ability to independently learn and operate unfamiliar production infrastructure with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Optimize distributed data infrastructure and tune serving layer performance.
• Build, maintain, and harden pipelines enabling government cloud investigations.
• Strengthen operational resilience and reduce single points of failure.
• Troubleshoot production systems using AI-assisted debugging and log analysis.
• Own production reliability and participate in on-call incidents and runbooks.
• Deliver infrastructure improvements from design through deployment and operation.
• Support evolving security, reliability, audit, and data-retention requirements.
• Collaborate with Data Platform, Forward Deployed Engineering, Product, and others.
