Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer for our data team to own data collection and ingestion for model training. You will build high-quality datasets at scale by integrating infrastructure, engineering, and research efforts across GCP, Terraform, and our ingestion pipeline.

You will partner with scientists to push cost, throughput, and quality improvements, shaping the dataset roadmap for speech AI products for consumers and enterprises, with growth in a fast-moving, asynchronous culture.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in CS or related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Proficient in Bash/Python scripting and Linux.

Responsibilities

• Scrape new audio data sources and ingest into pipeline.
• Maintain and extend cloud ingestion infra on GCP with Terraform.
• Collaborate with Scientists to optimize data cost/throughput/quality.
• Shape dataset roadmap with AI Team and leadership to power Speechify’s models.
