Job summary

ICF is seeking a Data Governance Lead to drive government-approved data governance, stewardship workflows, metadata standards, and governance reporting in a federal program. This role ensures oversight under customer CDO governance and collaborates with data stewards, owners, security, and product operations to keep data accurate and ready for publication.

The position supports modern data platforms and cloud environments, with a focus on governance, privacy, and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements.
Must reside in the U.S. and be authorized to work in the U.S.
Minimum 8 years in data governance or related roles.
Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Information Systems, or related field; or four years of experience in lieu of degree.
Master's degree may substitute for two years of experience.

Responsibilities

Lead implementation of government-approved data governance, stewardship workflows, and metadata standards.
Coordinate with data stewards, data owners, security, and product operations to ensure data accuracy and findability.
Develop and maintain governance reporting and oversight aligned with VA CDO.
Document decisions, risks, and delivery evidence to support audit readiness.
