Job summary

Jobot is seeking a fully remote Data Engineering Manager to lead a team of data engineers and drive the development of scalable data architectures and pipelines in a healthcare technology environment.

You will oversee data systems on AWS/Azure, implement ETL/ELT processes, and ensure data privacy and compliance while collaborating with data scientists and analysts to deliver impactful data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, database management, or related field.
• Proven experience managing a team of data engineers.
• Strong experience with data architecture, databases, and processing systems.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, Spark, Snowflake, Databricks, and PowerBI.
• Experience with ETL and ELT processes.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze complex data.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of data engineers to design, develop, test, and maintain data architectures, databases, and processing systems.
• Develop and implement data engineering strategies to optimize data flow and collection to ensure information accessibility and accuracy.
• Oversee the deployment of data pipelines in production based on Continuous Delivery practices.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
• Drive the selection and implementation of data tools and frameworks, and data-related API integration.
• Ensure data privacy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Develop and maintain data systems in AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms.
• Utilize ETL and ELT processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data systems for performance and reliability.
