Job summary

Sporty is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, test, optimise and maintain data pipelines and architectures for ML and data science initiatives. You will work on scalable ETL and near-real-time data processing across diverse data sources and collaborate with data scientists, MLOps, product owners and BI analysts.

The role emphasizes data quality, architecture refinement and internal process improvements to handle increasing data volumes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 3+ years of data engineering experience in data platforms or BI.
• Experience with data warehouses, ODS and data integration projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable ETL and near-real-time pipelines.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy and consistency across systems.
• Improve data delivery and infrastructure for scalability.
• Build API integrations to support increasing data volume.
• Collaborate with data scientists, MLOps, product owners and BI analysts.
