The role requires strong Python, SQL, Terraform, and Linux experience, plus collaboration with data scientists and engineers. This full-time, remote-friendly position supports a current contract and offers competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of data engineering experience.
• Cross-functional engineering collaboration experience.
• Proficient in Python for data tasks at scale.
• Experience with Databricks, AWS, and SQL.
• Knowledge of data pipelines, modeling, and security best practices.
• Proficient with Git and Agile workflows.
• Terraform or IaC experience; Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex data ingestion pipelines using PySpark, Databricks, and AWS services.
• Provide mentorship and participate in cross-functional engineering discussions.
• Apply CI/CD practices and infrastructure as code patterns.
• Document architecture decisions and runbooks for reliability.
• Optimize data ingestion, transformation, and storage layers.
• Troubleshoot multi-system pipeline failures and coordinate with teams.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and client teams to deliver solutions.
