Job summary

Jack Henry & Associates, Inc. is hiring a Data Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise data pipelines powering analytics, reporting, and ML initiatives.

You will work within the Data & Analytics organization on the Warehousing & Pipelines team, partnering with DBAs, data architects, and software engineers. The ideal candidate blends software engineering with data platform expertise, building scalable, maintainable data systems using modern practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, database development.
• Experience developing ETL/ELT and data integration solutions.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git and code review workflows.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Experience developing applications or services using C#.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with DBAs, Data Architects, BI Developers, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines for payment processing systems with high availability and performance.
• Develop data integration solutions using SQL, C#, Python, PowerShell, and related automation technologies.
• Develop and support event-driven architectures using CDC, Kafka, messaging platforms, and stream-processing technologies.
• Modernize legacy data integration solutions and transition workloads toward code-first development practices.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data integration, analytics, and data platforms.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability for data platforms and pipelines.
• Populate and maintain enterprise data warehouse and lakehouse solutions with governance.
