Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking BigQuery-to-Databricks specialists for an onshore contract based out of Atlanta, GA. The project focuses on replicating data from BigQuery into Databricks with hands-on execution across the stack.

Candidates should bring strong BQ & Databricks data engineering expertise, SQL fundamentals, PySpark notebook development, and experience building ingestion pipelines. This remote-friendly contract offers competitive hourly pay and rapid start.

Qualifications

• Experience with BigQuery and Databricks data engineering.
• Strong SQL and data engineering fundamentals.
• PySpark and Databricks notebook development.
• Experience building BigQuery to Databricks data replication/ingestion pipelines.
• Experience with BigQuery authorized views and federated connections.
• Understanding of Apache Iceberg, preferably Databricks Iceberg/Unity Catalog.
• Experience with large-scale data movement, incremental replication, performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Support a high-priority BigQuery-to-Databricks replication effort.
• Move enterprise data from BigQuery into Databricks with hands-on execution.
• Contribute to replication pipelines and optimize performance.
