Latitude IT Solutions | SDVOSB is hiring a Data Engineer to build and run data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform for a federal health client. You will ingest, transform, and deliver curated datasets in BigQuery, collaborating with data architects, scientists, ML engineers, and application teams on a fully remote US team.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in a technical field and 3+ years building production data pipelines on cloud platforms, plus hands-on BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/IS or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on data engineering on a cloud platform with production pipelines.
• 3+ years leading technical teams and setting standards for cloud/on-premises environments.
• Hands-on with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub.
• Strong SQL and Python; experience with distributed data processing and data modeling.
• Experience transforming large datasets into ML-ready datasets.
• Ability to obtain a federal background investigation (Public Trust).

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize batch and streaming data pipelines on Google Cloud.
• Ingest data from APIs, databases, SaaS, streaming feeds, and files; deliver curated datasets in BigQuery.
• Create data quality rules, schema validation, and automated tests; monitor pipelines with Cloud Monitoring/Logging.
• Enforce governance and security standards (IAM, encryption, masking, auditing); maintain infra with Terraform and CI/CD.
• Provide technical direction, lead code reviews, and document datasets and procedures.
