Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain our Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse as we migrate our Azure Synapse analytics platform. You will own the full lifecycle—from modeling data to production support—and collaborate with business partners to deliver reliable, scalable data solutions.

Ideal candidates bring 2–5 years in data warehousing, strong SQL and Python, and experience with Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, and Databricks.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in data warehouse / data engineering roles.
• Production experience across Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Databricks.
• Strong SQL plus Python and/or scripting for transformation, automation, and tooling.
• Experience delivering within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; reliable production data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable Lakehouse and data warehouse solutions on Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse.
• Develop, optimize, and deploy ETL/ELT pipelines and reusable data integration framework.
• Implement data quality, validation, and transformation logic across pipelines.
• Document models, pipelines, and runbooks for support and extension.
• Develop and optimize dimensional models for BI and analytics.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, product and business stakeholders.
