Job summary

Troveo is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to own and scale an analytics data warehouse, build robust data pipelines, and partner with software engineers and business stakeholders. This hybrid role blends data engineering, modeling, analytics, and operational duties to ensure reliable data delivery across teams.

You will design pipelines, apply dimensional modeling, and leverage dbt and cloud platforms to deliver analytics-ready datasets while monitoring quality, performance, and SLAs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines and working with cloud data platforms/warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks).
• Experience with data orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).
• Solid understanding of data modeling techniques and dimensional modeling.
• Experience performing data analysis and working with BI/visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot data issues and support operational reliability/SLAs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ELT/ETL data pipelines (batch and streaming).
• Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models (dimensional modeling).
• Build and maintain transformation layers using modern tools (dbt) to create analytics-ready datasets.
• Monitor data pipelines and data deliveries to meet SLAs for timeliness, freshness, and accuracy.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Document data pipelines, models, lineage, and processes.
