Job summary

Trilogy Federal is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support a federal client on a remote basis. You will work with SSIS, SSAS, and Power BI to implement and optimize reporting, data models, and dashboards.

The ideal candidate has strong SQL, data warehousing, and cloud experience (AWS/Azure), can design star and snowflake schemas, and communicates effectively with technical teams. A Public Trust clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of overall professional experience and bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience with JAVA and JAVA Script.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with SQL.
• Define and develop new reporting and data queries using SQL, SSAS, and SSIS.
• Experience building both star and snowflake schemas.
• Working knowledge of tabular, relational, and multidimensional data models.
• Working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
• Experience building complex dashboards and reports with Power BI.
• Expert-level understanding of ETL, data pipeline, and data warehousing concepts.
• Self-starter able to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Building and re-designing a set of reports that need to transition to an analysis services environment.
• Work with our customer's technical team to identify initial requirements.
• Apply tabular, relational, and multidimensional data modeling methodologies.
• Transform raw data into meaningful business decisions and pre-aggregate data for optimal results.
• Document logical and physical data models.
• Document and update reporting environment data model
• Develop new reports based on customer requirements

Trilogy Federal is looking for a remote Data Engineer with working knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and Power BI to join our growing company and support our federal client.
