Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Data Cloud Engineer to support a DoD cloud modernization and enterprise data transformation initiatives. This position is fully remote.

You will design, develop, and optimize secure, scalable cloud-based data solutions across Azure and AWS, enabling advanced analytics and decision-making for national defense objectives. The role requires 10+ years in enterprise data engineering, expertise in PySpark, Spark SQL, Python, SQL, and experience with Azure Synapse

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• 10+ years of enterprise data engineering and cloud experience.
• Proficient with PySpark, Spark SQL, Python and SQL.
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks or AWS Glue.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based ETL/ELT pipelines on Azure and AWS.
• Build large-scale data transformation solutions using PySpark and SQL.
• Develop data ingestion for structured and unstructured sources.
• Implement data governance, security controls, RBAC, data quality, and CDC.
• Collaborate with cloud, cybersecurity, DevOps, and software teams on modernization.
