Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Data Cloud Engineer to support a Department of Defense cloud modernization and enterprise data transformation initiative. This is a fully remote role with responsibilities across Azure and AWS, designing secure, scalable data solutions.

You will work on ETL/ELT pipelines, data ingestion, governance, and collaboration with cloud, cybersecurity, DevOps, and software engineering teams to maintain production data environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale data engineering and cloud data solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field
• Active Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based ETL/ELT pipelines utilizing Azure and AWS technologies.
• Build and optimize large-scale data transformation solutions using PySpark, Spark SQL, Python, and SQL.
• Develop data ingestion frameworks supporting structured and unstructured data sources, including APIs, databases, JSON, and flat files.
• Implement data governance, security controls, RBAC, data quality standards, and Change Data Capture (CDC) processes.
• Collaborate with cloud, cybersecurity, DevOps, and software engineering teams to support enterprise modernization efforts and maintain production data environments.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field
• Active Secret Clearance

Compensation for the Data Cloud Engineer include:

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000+ depending on experience
