Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a Site Operations Manager to lead the primary onsite activities for startup, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems in mission-critical data centers.

You will serve as the main ABB representative on site, coordinating with project managers and subcontractors to meet safety, quality, and schedule targets. The role requires 10+ years in electrical field service, data center experience, and the ability to travel up to 75% across North America.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in electrical equipment field service, startup, testing, or commissioning.
• Experience supporting data center construction or mission-critical electrical infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of commissioning processes, electrical protection systems, and power distribution equipment.
• Ability to travel 75% throughout North America, often for extended durations.

Responsibilities

• Lead all onsite activities related to equipment startup, testing, installation, and commissioning.
• Coordinate daily activities with the Project Manager to validate resource readiness and milestone alignment.
• Serve as the primary onsite representative for the client and site stakeholders.
• Plan onsite activities, labor, equipment needs, and commissioning sequences.
• Implement ABB HSE standards and maintain a site safety plan.
