Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Contract Network Engineer for a Washington, DC area engagement. You will support large enterprise data center networks, design switching/routing solutions with Cisco/Arista equipment, and help implement SDN trends.

Requirements include 7+ years in data center networking, end-to-end environment knowledge, and ability to map business needs to technical designs. This is a fully remote contract role with standard benefits.

Qualifications

• End-to-end knowledge of Data Center technical environment.
• Experience in data center network infrastructure for large enterprises or carriers.
• 7+ years working with switching equipment (architecting/designing).
• Understanding of virtualisation, TRILL/Fabric Path, Blade technologies and SDN.
• Strong grasp of switching/routing product families.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Assist in resolution of complex issues under pressure.
• Communicate with staff from implementation to management, quickly learn new tech.
