Job summary

Clarkston Consulting is seeking a Data Architect to deliver architectural solutions for life sciences, consumer products, and retail clients. You will work across levels, design scalable data platforms, and mentor junior team members.

You will translate business goals into technical strategies, lead client initiatives, and apply innovative approaches to data integration and cloud platforms. This role requires strong communication and governance skills and a 4-year degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Experience with data management solutions and data lake platforms.
• Expertise in data warehousing, BI, master data management, and reference data management.
• Familiar with delivering Data as a Service from enterprise repositories via REST APIs.
• Experience with Azure or AWS data tools and microservices.
• Knowledge of TOGAF or similar architecture frameworks.
• Understanding of ITIL, SDLC, and related dev/ops methodologies.
• Ability to develop data catalogs and integrate with enterprise architecture.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and process automation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff across levels to deliver architectural solutions.
• Create original concepts and design scalable platforms.
• Provide forward‑looking technical guidance on current trends.
• Lead client initiatives and mentor junior Data Architects.
• Define and manage client solutions and governance.
• Translate business goals into architectural strategies and tech solutions.
• Design, prototype, and develop Big Data Platforms on Azure or AWS.
• Apply innovative approaches to solve technical design issues.
