Job summary

Nextech is seeking an IT Solution Architect to own the architecture for enterprise data warehousing, batch processing, and consolidated reporting. This role blends solution design with hands-on troubleshooting and data modernization.

Responsibilities include designing data warehouse solutions, transforming data from multiple systems, and mentoring engineers while aligning with enterprise standards. Remote work options apply; strong SQL, ETL, and dimensional modeling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of IT experience focused on data platforms or architecture.
• Strong SQL skills and data troubleshooting across legacy systems.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL-based data extraction.
• Hands-on knowledge of dimensional modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with ETL/ELT orchestration and batch processing.
• Familiarity with DDL, DML, DQL, TCL commands.
• Ability to translate requirements into designs, roadmaps, and technical specs.
• Knowledge of Agile and waterfall methodologies; Azure DevOps exposure.
• Strong communication across stakeholders and teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain and support data warehouse solutions for enterprise reporting.
• Trace, extract, and manipulate data across legacy systems and sources.
• Transform data into consistent warehouse structures for reporting and analytics.
• Monitor batch jobs and data movement; troubleshoot failures.
• Collaborate on designs, roadmaps, tests, deployments, and releases.
• Coach developers while upholding architectural standards and security.
