Job summary

Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete, LLP seeks an Associate with 3–7 years of litigation experience to join our Cyber Litigation team. Ideal candidates have a strong foundation in litigation, excellent research and writing, and the ability to manage complex matters.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of litigation experience, preferably in complex commercial litigation, class action defense, privacy litigation, or cybersecurity disputes.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience with substantive motion practice, written discovery, and other litigation aspects.
• Familiarity with federal and state privacy statutes (e.g., CCPA/CPRA, BIPA, VPPA) is a plus.
• Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated professional achievement.

Responsibilities

• Assist in defending clients in privacy and data breach class actions and other complex litigation.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses.
• Participate in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Collaborate with partners and team members to develop litigation strategies.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
