Job summary

SHR Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to provide hands-on security engineering and operational support for enterprise apps and cloud environments. The role requires DHS EOD Public Trust clearance for FEMA and favors candidates in the DC Metro Area for occasional onsite collaboration in DC and Bluemont, VA.

The position focuses on implementing security controls, continuous monitoring, incident response, and DevSecOps integration within Google Cloud Platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cybersecurity engineering, security operations, or information security experience.
• Experience securing cloud-hosted apps and infrastructure, preferably GCP.
• Experience with NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, RMF, vulnerability management, continuous monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide cybersecurity engineering support across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Secure applications and infrastructure hosted within Google Cloud Platform.
• Implement and maintain technical security controls per federal requirements.
• Support security authorization, assessment, and continuous monitoring processes.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities across app, cloud, and infrastructure.
• Review scan results, coordinate remediation with teams, validate fixes.
