Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Cyber Engineer to advance our CTEM journey, identify and remediate vulnerabilities, and strengthen enterprise cloud and on‑prem security. You will collaborate with IT infra, app development, and security operations to reduce attack surface while keeping pace with evolving threats.

The role requires broad knowledge of enterprise applications, operating systems, networking, and cloud infrastructure, with a focus on secure architectures, automation, and policy adherence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of related cybersecurity experience.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security across SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS.
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain secure, resilient cloud and on‑prem processes in collaboration with architects and engineers.
• Lead vulnerability management and coordinate remediation with tech leadership.
• Implement and manage IDAM controls across applications and environments.
• Architect, deploy and operate secure cloud application infrastructure aligned to business needs.
• Monitor threats, assess risk, and drive tactical and strategic security initiatives.
• Create automation for asset inventory, vulnerability discovery, assessment, and reporting.
• Collaborate with security engineering, operations, and development teams to improve posture.
