Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Cyber Engineer to support their Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) journey. You will work across cloud and on‑prem environments to identify, track, and remediate vulnerabilities while aligning with enterprise security policies.

The role requires deep technical expertise in SaaS/IaaS/PaaS, networking, and secure architecture. Collaboration with IT, security operations, and leadership is essential to reduce risk and improve resilience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to use cloud tools and automation technologies to support secure, efficient infrastructure and security operations.
• Proficient in one or more: Bicep, AKS, Terraform, Kafka, Kubernetes, Helm, OpenShift, scripting (Python, JavaScript).
• Strong knowledge of vulnerability management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience automating asset inventory, vulnerability discovery, assessment, and reporting processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain secure, resilient cloud & on-premise processes in tandem with architects and system engineers.
• Lead vulnerability management and collaborate with leadership to secure digital assets.
• Document, formulate and enforce security improvements balancing risk with business needs.
• Attend regular technical project meetings and serve as security consultant for secure configurations.
• Monitor and report on vulnerability criticality, exploit probability, and remediation progress.
