Job summary

LMI is seeking a Cyber Architect to support an Army program, focusing on secure, scalable, and cloud-enabled infrastructure. The role reports as cybersecurity advisor to ISSM and engineering teams, shaping RMF artifacts and security controls across the system lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have a Secret clearance, deep DoD cloud security experience, and a track record of collaborating with stakeholders to remediate findings and drive secure outcomes within an Agile framework.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Cybersecurity or related field.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity engineering, RMF or secure systems operations.
• Knowledge of DoD cloud security, Zero Trust, hybrid architectures.
• Familiarity with Agile, DevSecOps, and secure SDLC.
• Ability to present complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience creating or maintaining RMF artifacts and POA&Ms.
• Experience applying NIST SP 800-53 controls and DoD STIGs.
• Experience with cloud security operations and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary custodian of the eMASS security package.
• Prepare and maintain RMF artifacts (SSP, SAR, monitoring strategy).
• Lead RMF 800-53 transition activities and control implementation.
• Author, monitor, and update POA&Ms in eMASS and workflows.
• Coordinate remediation timelines with System Owners and Cloud Architects.
• Review non-compliance closures and remediation evidence.
• Assess impact for cARMY AWS system architecture and cloud boundaries.
• Review STIGs/SRGs using STIG Viewer and automation tools.
• Support GitLab CI/CD by integrating vulnerability analysis and validation.
• Oversee continuous monitoring and vulnerability scanning (ACAS).
• Maintain cybersecurity dashboards and track POA&M aging.
