Job summary

ICF is actively recruiting for a Data Mining and Analytics Engineer to support a large federal cyber analytics program. The role focuses on building analytic solutions, modeling data, and producing actionable insights for a government client.

Ideal candidates bring experience with big data platforms, Databricks notebooks, and a range of programming languages (Python, SQL). This is a telework-based role with some meetings at Arlington, VA or Pensacola, FL as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of experience
• Active high-level security clearance required as part of client contract requirements
• US citizenship is required
• Practical experience with the Databricks Intelligence Platform
• Experience with computational notebook technologies such as Databricks, Zeppelin, or Jupyter
• Fluency in programming languages (Python, JavaScript, R, etc.)
• Experience with SQL queries

Responsibilities

• Perform knowledge elicitation from customer SMEs to build analytic solutions
• Design, engineer, and optimize sustainment of large-scale distributed computation platforms
• Oversee transition of services from third-party vendors to the analytic environment and provide end-user training
• Identify data to perform analytics and create data integration and transformation solutions
• Develop custom data modeling procedures to assist with data mining and production
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
• Interpret and communicate results to non-technical customers
