Job summary

Descartes Systems Group Inc. seeks a Customer Support Engineer to assist customs brokerage customers, resolving complex application, integration, and ACE/ABI issues quickly to keep shipments moving.

You will diagnose problems across OneView configurations, broker data, and integrations while communicating clearly with licensed brokers and internal teams. You will gain exposure to Descartes OneView Customs House Broker, PGA requirements, and transport-related workflows, with opportunities for

Qualifications

• 3+ years in U.S. customs brokerage operations or related software support.
• Strong knowledge of the U.S. customs entry lifecycle and ACE/ABI transmission.
• Ability to troubleshoot CBP/ACE validation errors and data issues.
• Experience with PGA requirements and related agencies is a plus.
• Hands-on Descartes OneView Customs House Broker experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex customs brokerage support issues accurately and efficiently by isolating source of problems.
• Protect customers from shipment and regulatory disruption by prioritizing incidents based on deadlines and impact.
• Improve first-time resolution and escalation quality with clear root-cause analysis and actionable workarounds.
• Provide expert support across the full U.S. customs entry lifecycle and related workflows.
• Translate technical findings into brokerage language for licensees and importers.
• Create and improve diagnostic procedures, documentation, and knowledge-base content.
• Coordinate cross-functional problem resolution with Product, Development, and Infrastructure teams.
• Maintain reliable production support coverage, including after-hours on-call when needed.
